Furniture removal in King and Pierce counties

One couch or a whole house of it, gone the same day when you book by 2pm, if availability allows. A two-person crew carries it out from wherever it sits, upstairs or down, and the range comes back from your photos before anyone is on the road.

How it goes

  1. 01

Photograph the furniture where it sits. One wide shot per room, and one of the stairs if there are any.

  2. 02

Read the range, then pick a day and a morning or afternoon.

  3. 03

The crew carries it out and loads it.

Nothing needs to be at the curb.

The upstairs bedroom, the basement, the back room with the tight turn at the top of the stairs: the crew carries it from there and loads it.

What we take (and don’t)

We take

  • Couches, sectionals, loveseats and recliners
  • Sleeper sofas and futons, steel frame included
  • Mattresses and box springs, any size
  • Bed frames, headboards and bunk beds
  • Dressers, wardrobes, armoires and nightstands
  • Dining tables, chairs, hutches and buffets
  • Desks, bookcases, filing cabinets and office chairs
  • TV stands and entertainment units
  • Patio sets, deck furniture and umbrellas

We don’t

  • Grand pianos, safes and anything that needs a rigging crew
  • Built-ins still attached to the house
  • Furniture soaked in fuel, solvent or chemicals

Unsure about something? Put it in a photo and we will say whether we take it.

Taking one thing only? A single sofa, sectional, recliner or dresser has a flat price, and the page says what the price covers.

The price is for the space the load takes up in the truck, not for the couch. A used sectional is often worth less than the cost of moving it; what you pay for is two people, a truck, the carry out of your house, the drive to the transfer station and the fee at the gate.

A loveseat costs less than a sectional, and one item is the smallest job we do.

Common questions

Do I need to get it to the curb?

No. We carry it from wherever it is, upstairs and basements too. Flag the stairs when you upload so the crew plans the carry, and mention a narrow door or a tight landing in the notes.

Is there an extra charge for mattresses?

Yes. Each mattress or box spring carries its own line in your estimate, and the figure goes up at five or more because the transfer station charges more from the fifth on.

Why does it cost more than the couch is worth?

Because you are not buying the couch back. You are paying for two people, a truck, the carry, the drive to the transfer station and the fee at the gate. Volume sets the price, so a single chair is the smallest job we do and a full living room fills more of the truck. If the load turns out smaller than the photos suggested, you pay less.

What happens to the furniture?

Pieces in good shape go to a furniture bank when one will take them, and the bar is higher than most people expect: clean, dry, unripped, and not a mattress. Everything else goes to the transfer station. We do not quote a diversion figure, because it depends on what you have.

Is there a free option?

Sometimes. Some cities and garbage haulers in the county offer a bulk pickup at the curb on a scheduled day, and if the couch can wait for that day and you can get it to the curb, use it. If it has to be gone today, and carried out, that is what we are for.

Do you take built-in furniture?

Once it is cut loose or unbolted from the house, yes: at that point it is furniture and it goes in the load. We do not do the cutting or unbolting ourselves.
